Making a Difference

Russell Matthews, Director of VINCI Construction UK’s Technology Centre, recently spent some time working with the St Dunstan’s charity, which provides an independent future for blind ex-Service men and women. Russell, whose father served in the 2nd World War and is now blind, spent a day working in their fundraising department at their head office in London.

The charity work was part of VINCI Construction UK’s Stand Out Make a Difference Day initiative.

During the day Russell undertook research ahead of the Spinnaker Tower Challenge in September and preparing entrants for the 100K London to Brighton challenge later this month.

Following the day, Russell said “While supporting charity work is incredibly important it also gave me an insight into the challenges for charities in raising money.”
